You probably have a bacterial infection. Go to your OB/GYN and get checked!

Sounds like a yeast infection. They don't always burn. It could be something else. You need to be tested. The good news is that the infection can't make you sterile, but it could affect your health.

You may be using the wrong absorbency. You want to use the lowest absorbency possible. I would recommend using the Tampax multipax, that way there are many different absorbencies in the same pack so you can switch as your "flow" changes. Also, use ONLY non deodorant tampons!!

Honestly, if your Doctor couldn't tell you, I really doubt any of us could.
But, I think most women have irregular periods at least once in their lifetime.
If your Doctor isn't worried, you probably shouldn't be.
Just make sure you are eating a healthy diet, exercising, getting enough sleep, and not too stressed out. Too much stress/bad eating habits can put your body under stress and mess up your periods.

Biggest reason to miss a period is pregnancy but if you have not had sex, stress is also a reason and having a bad diet could contribute to that too. If you notice that you are skinny or your heart beats fast, it may be an idea to get checked out for hyperthyroidism which is too much thyroid hormone and causes irregular/missed periods.
