I have a similar thing, but I usually get a bump before my period. Not every month, but frequently enough that I knew my period was on the way. Kind of like a big sore pimple. The bump would go away after my period was over. I asked my doctor, thinking it was some STD, and she said its the hormonal fluctuation that is causing a cyst (just a pocket of fluid). She said its nothing to worry about, but if it got too painful that she could cut it out. She thought that would most likely be more painful than the actual bump. Ask your doc the next time you get your pap..dont be embarassed. They hear a lot worse! Hope this helps!
