Why are my breast so sore, never felt like this before?

My breast are so sore, sort of like after you have a child and dont breast feed, but not as bad. they been like this for 2 days now. I dont think I am pregnant I took a test last week. I was supposed to get my period yesterday and never got it. I got off the pill about 3 months ago and since I got off of them, I have gotten my period on the 15th of every month. I never have sore breast though around or during my period, could it be anything else?? I am really worried that something serious could be wrong.Why are my breast so sore, never felt like this before?

Don't be scared.
Sore breasts are simply a sign that you are estrogen dominant. Google it and you'll get plenty of insight.
