When is it okay to have unprotected sex with your loved one after starting birth control?

One month should be enough time, you can wait a little longer if you would like though.Just remember that not all birth control is 100% effective, so if you really are trying to prevent pregnancy, condoms used with birth control is the way to go.

well im on birth control pill yasmin and it says after the first month . but my doctor told me 10 days =]
It is never a right time to have unprotected sex. It's not whether you want a baby or not. The question is do you want to have HIV or AIDS. This the day and age you must think. No GLOVE, No LOVE.

My doctor said it was safe after 2 weeks. After one month it should be fine. Call your doctor and ask just to be on the safe side, though!
