Whoever knows anything about the IUD...PLEASE HELP!!!?

I got the IUD put in yesterday and I am still in so much pain! At times the pain is so intense that I begin to feel naucious! I have to take pain meds every 4 hrs or the cramps become too much to handle! I called my doctors office, but she said even though I shouldn't be in pain, to wait another day. Is this normal?Whoever knows anything about the IUD...PLEASE HELP!!!?
i don't think its normal.maybe your body is rejecting it and you have some kind of infection which is causing an inflammatory response and thus the pain.i suggest u go to your doctor for a checkup asap.
What kind of IUD did you have put in.
You do understand that you can become pregnant each month the IUD is in place, and that the IUD simply irritates the lining of the uterus and causes the embryo to be expelled.
Many Physicians fail to tell there patients this very critical part of using the IUD as a form of birth control. Remember the egg is fertilized in the fallopian tube and travels into the uterus, if the lining is inflamed it is discharged.
